Valve messed up by introducing the new rank system while the game was on sale. As the only people maintaining Global now are hackers.

I stopped playing until they revert it and issue a VAC ban wave, which they no doubt will do eventually. Plenty of other games to play until then. :)

Old system wasn't good, cuz rank distribution was not consistent with the normal Gaussian distribution (there were almost no silvers and too many globals, avg rank was MGE when it should be GN3-GN4)

Now they just like "let us derank all people by 4-6 ranks, let the system stabilize and all will be good".

i know the feeling its based on your KPD and game sence it bad news, if you have low skilled players or de rankers on the team as it will rank you down .. best option is play with friends only and play hard to win !!

It's fair. Simply ranks are more balanced amongst the players. And it really doesn't matter when everyone have deranked. Yet for some reason people cry about it like they've lsot everything to show off.

Being able to work together with your teammates is just as important as being individually skilled in CS:GO. The ranking system takes this into account by penalizing or rewarding the team as a whole. You do gain or lose more points depending on your individual rank compared to your teammates (at least that's how it was the last time I read about it. I don't really play GO). Unfortunately, playing on matchmaking will often put you with some bad players or trolls and there is nothing you can do about it. If you want to maintain your rank, you need to find some people to play together with and join games together. Maybe if you have a good match with someone you like on your team, friend him and ask to play together again sometime. Do this a few more times and you will have a team or at least regulars that you know you can trust on your team.

Everyones ranks changed the bellcurve is lowered your rank means nothing if you feel you are better then the people in your games then solo queue and you will carry your team to victory eventually increasing your rank.

If you are unable to carry your team out of the rank you are in then you are there for a reason, if it's not for your aim perhaps it's your gamesense/mapknowledge/interactions with other players.

Regardless of staying positive if you lose the game you can derank.

My best advice to you is don't worry about your rank and just enjoy the game.

It's happening to everyone. No one likes losing their ranks due to smurfs and cheaters, it really stinks when it happens. I don't think it will stay this way, valve is probably just making people derank to get the average rank down again since it was getting to easy to rank up.
