So I just received a mysterious email that appears to be random letters and numbers, mixed case on the letters, and at the end of the email is two equals symbols like this: ==

does anyone have any ideas on if this is a coded message and if so what kind of code it may be? If I get really stuck, I'll post the email, I'm just not wanting to incase it contains something personal xD

I googled a decoder for it, all it did was translate it into a long number steam

Could be an image or something as an attachement, that's being displayed as text instead of being translated correctly.
If this is not from a source you recognise I would suggest it is probably just a virus or phishing email and you should probably just ignore it.

True, but still it bugs me as some people I've dropped outta contact with used to do this alot for fun. It might be them, but I want to be sure before just ignoring it.

dunno, email address I've never seen before, but I opened when I was using my android emulator, so no chance of infection on my computer.

It could be an encrypted mail. But in that case you can't decipher it without the public key of the sender

well you can PM us in that case. Maybe we can help you out while maintaining its secrecy.

View the headers. If the "from" address isn't at all related to the first server that handled it, it's just spam and go ahead and bin it.
