Used Stock intel i5 3570k cpufan/heatsink for $30

I went on Craigslist and found that CPU for only $30 used. I have an AMD 5450 processor; and a Intel E5400 Dual core 2.7 GHZ I want to play some of my games a little better so is it a worthy upgrade?

It is, but you need new mobo and that price is too low for that CPU...

Might be damaged one...

You don't have the right socket. I think you'd also have to get new RAM.

Best you can get to replace E5400 is some Q6xxx and Q9xxx CPUs...

Not sure about AMD...

Your E5400 is socket LGA 775, the i5 is LGA 1155. That won't fit! :P
If you want to replace your CPU without replacing anything else, it'll have to fit the LGA 775 socket on your motherboard.
