CV always goes down. I was level 9 for 50 times and always slip back to 8 when 2-3 games I gave earlier get price reduction or whatever. Ignore it and give more, that helps to satisfy the hunger games.

Because some bundled games where still counted as unbundled until yesterday.

To sum up what others already said:

  1. you drop in lvl because games that where bundled werent entered in the system yet, this can happen even after months that the bundle came out. The reason of this is because there is only one person to edit this part of the system and outside bundles that person has to alos monitor sales prices of games because if they drop anywhere in the world lower then 95% of the US steam store value, they are considered bundled as well.
  2. The normal price of the game (without the sales discount) has dropped. Steamgifts uses the US store prices, so if they drop there, your GA's will drop as well, it doesnt matter if the GA was made before or after the drop.

So even if i create now GTA5 GA paid full price some day my CV could collapse? It sounds a little unfair...

Unfortunately, tracking the current price is way too hard. Games have price glitches (you might remember Memoria at 100p), or they have free weekends (they default to 0p in this case), or get removed from Steam store while keys are still available somewhere (again, default to 0p IIRC). People might exploit these glitches (or get screwed over in case of a free weekend).

As it is, any such change is temporary and will return to its standard price as soon as the glitch/free weekend is over, if SG kept track of current price things could quickly spiral out of control...

Why? Every currency loses value over time, and CV is just a function of real money. Additionally, Steam price drops are the only universal way to inflate CV, sadly.

I think the game Memoria is at fault.
Isn't it one of those games that frequently gets boosted to 100P due to its valor being counted as a whole steam bundle while on sale?
Maybe this weights on CV too?
