[Puzzle] History puzzle for an EU3 Chronicles key!

Because what's better than being a history nerd and getting one of the best strategy games ever made? This giveaway is for a Steam-redeemable key for Europa Universalis 3: Chronicles.

Rules, as usual:

  1. Don't give away the answer, or even hint at the answer on the forum.

  2. Every answer is the name of a person.

  3. All of them are people from 50+ years ago. (The person may have died more recently but their main gig was 50+ years ago, if that makes sense)

I tried to make this hard but still possible, but I can't say for sure how easy/hard it is since I made it.

Edit: Seems I misunderstood the hints timer option, so the hints will appear in one hour. No big deal, just makes the puzzle a little easier!

Edit 2: Since I forgot to mention it, the giveaway ends one week after this was posted.

Bloody brilliant puzzle! When I first saw it, I thought I was never gonna solve it. But actually, the hints are all there, you just need to use your brain a bit.
