Killer Instinct 3 coming to Xbox One as an exclusive

I figured it would be a Xbox one exclusive. Guess that's one game I won't be playing plus I read somewhere on the internet that there are only one or two characters playable and the rest must be bought. It's also F2P. Looks like they might've ruined the franchise with this crap.

Do people still care about Killer Instinct? It's been like fifteen years since the last one.

Miscorost owns the IP so it will stay exclusive.

The last two games from the studio in charge of the new Killer Instinct were both awful licensed movie games for awful movies (Green Lantern and Battleship) and their average metacritic score is in the 50s.

Honestly, having a game made by this studio as an exclusive, especially when it is such a memorable franchise, is more likely to make people hate your system than to it is to make them actually like it. MS has taken a franchise you cherish and given it to a shovelware studio. This would be like giving Mario to Zynga.

Personally I'd never buy a console to play a particular game.

For me if it's not on a platform I own, it's a lost sale, and the marketing men who dreamed up the idea of "exclusivity" can go and collectively shaft themselves long and hard.
