There's probably someone who pressed forgot password when trying to log in to your account. Ignore the message.

Don't worry, nothing to fear. Someone clicked on a button after he tried a key that has already been activated by you. Steam sends out this mail to the account that successfully activated the key. You are probably a ninja or so.

Someone tried to activate a key you activated yourself before and followed with instructions to recover the account associated with the CDKEY. But as such person does not own that account, just ignore it. Probably didn't read/know what they were doing anyway.

Love seeing how paranoid newbies get when they receive the dupe key email for the first time.

Scam. A real mail has AT LEAST your nick on it, not a generic "Dear Steam user". Also when they ask you to click to update informations, it's always a phishing attempt, no matter what.

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's legit. The only link in the email is a link to the Steam homepage.

There's a steam key being "used"(people are trying to use it) by multiple people.

Realised straight after posting I had it backwards!
Now I'm wondering why the say account names plural. Could a key be associated with more than one account?

By the way you might want to delete that if it is your real username, can't be terribly safe. :D

But... Everybody knows my Steam user name anyways.

That means it's one step less to get your account. If you use similar mail and easy password, you're making yourself an easy target...

Wait, what? If my Steam user name is jbondguy007, it's displayed as jbondguy007 and everybody can clearly see it without the email.

They mean your Steam login name vs your Steam profile name. They should be different for security.
