It's a shame, the game looked amazing, I played the first month but when I realized leveling was so linnear, crafting skills balance was broken and endgame wasn't working as intended, I stopped playing :(

Without level cap? IIRC since July SW:ToR has been F2P up to level 15.

It's a decent game, but it felt too shallow for a real RPG and too empty of long-term content for an MMO. They should have just made KOTOR 3. Developers, players, and investors alike would've been happier. That's gotta hurt investing a couple hundred million into an MMO that goes f2p half a year later.

I actually really liked the game. Was considering buying back in. Guess now I don't have to.

I played SW:TOR when it first came out, and I definitely wouldn't say its shit. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but when my subscription ran out I didn't have any money :p
I figured it would go F2P sometime soon, since they've lost hundreds of thousands of subscribers, but I didn't expect it to be this soon :)

Saw it coming...

I played it in beta and I really liked it. But I can't say whether it is a good MMO or not, as I didnt level very high, and I basically played it as a single player...only grouping for certain quests. But I was very entertained by the fact that each class had a different storyline. Maybe as F2P it will be more "worth it" to some people.

Surely took them long enough.

I'll probably try it now. It's not awesome for EA but it's very awesome for me. They don't have a date for when it'll go full blown f2p, but I'm gonna try it now and see if I'll even be interested in it plast lvl 15. In fact, I don't know if I've ever gone past lvl 15 in an MMO. Hmm...

all i really wanted was to view the story, now i can as there is no restriction on story. Wonder which races will be free. (most likly only humans playable :/
