Anyone else got "keys exhausted" messages on the games you could get as rewards for daily login + shopping during the most recent humble summer sale (like a month ago)? I supposedly got 3 games out of the whole thing but was only able to activate 1 of them.
Glass Masquerade never had any keys and now says it's expired it's time for activation
Meadow never got any keys (for like a month now)
I mailed support and they told me they are sorry for the situation, that the keys were exhausted during the sale due to abuse and that they will not have more. wtf?!
If it's first come first served then you should have listed that on the sale info (i recall some games on the bundles have that disclaimer).
I have good image of humble site and their support, this is the first time they have failed me, still, weird shit. Anyone else in same situation?

It was in the core thread for the Summer Sale, as well. Also, the promotion page for each and every week explicitly stated "Limited Stock".
While them failing to change the default notification message in user libraries across multiple weeks was unfortunate, they never mislead anyone outside of that. While that one element was problematic, they didn't intentionally mislead anyone and the outcome was primarily due to outside elements.Taking umbrage over the matter, excepting in the circumstance where you paid money for stamps, would simply be petty under those conditions.

In any case, you most certainly weren't the only one to miss out on keys- though, of course, as always, several exploitative users made their habits rather visible. If you're looking for someone to be irritated toward, they're available.

i missed that one aswell apparently. i did search for humble summer and humble stamps before creating this thread, which came out empty, i just forgot to browse 60+ pages of past discussions in search of a dupe, sorry about that.

the stamp promos did not have "limited stock" next to them afaicr, atleast i do not recall seeing such a notice during the sale, and if they did indeed have a limited stock thing then it should have been obvious on the page what was immediately exhausted (like they do on the bundles) and what was not exhausted, and just, not have that offer available for claiming. instead they kept giving out these gifts which most folks could not redeem since day 1 and apparently will never be able to.

it's not my fault if their system isn't protected against bot abuse and traders with multiple accounts exploiting it, i followed the rules of the game, i went there every day to get my stamp, gave them the publicity and sales exposure they were expecting from me, i expected the promised reward back. now i have these 2 pages on my "purchases" that i can't claim because of?! "reasons..."

i'm not losing sleep over it, just wanted to check the games that i supposedly won, i can still buy them at some point, but the point is if they promise something they should deliver on it. not following up on your promise just makes you lose face. and their support response was not very heartwarming either. still, they did good with me on previous support requests so i guess it's alright, was just wondering how many others were affected and kind of wish humble would handle things better next time.

They had limited amount of keys and they were mercilessly farmed by bots. Also it looks like they don't give a damn about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

They even initiated a revocation for unactivated Glass Wings and Meadow Steam keys.

I think this is the new policy of HB in general - unused keys get expired and you are not able to reveal them anymore, even in purchased bundles.

Most of those keys became exhausted almost as soon as they became available for claiming. Bot harvesting them for resale, I guess, which is probably also why they revoked unactivated keys. I was lucky to get Glass Masquerade but couldn't get anything else quick enough. It was nice of Tiny Bang Story's devs to make that freely available on Steam when the keys got harvested to death.

I'm genuinely frustrated by Humble for doing this.
First of all, they dangle these games in front of you like keys to a toddler, claiming they'll get them if they visit the site. They run out of keys and just don't restock them at all.
Secondly, these keys (including the now-expired Glass Masquerade) remain in your unredeemed key list. Just get rid of them and move on. The constant reminder of the unprofessional behaviour from Humble doesn't help them and makes me frustrated every time I see it.
Third, they had their cake and ate it too. They got constant visits, to the site which undoubtedly meant they got more sales, while not having to actually give people what they promised.
Fourth, Humble's so inept at their customer service that people are legitimately afraid of contacting them. People contact them in good faith because Humble's screwed up, Humble looks at their account and just says "Nah mate, you're a trader, we owe you nothing and you can now just fuck off kindly" without any ways of really rebutting their unsubstantiated claims.

To anyone who's planning to say "But the games are free, so Humble shouldn't be obligated to do anything!", it's not free. These games didn't cost you money, but it was anything but free. They offered a product in exchange for you remembering Humble daily, visiting their site daily which leads to potential purchases, positive word-of-mouth/overall PR and developing a habit of visiting Humble more frequently. It's the Facebook type system of a service. They won't take money directly, but they're still getting something that's going to be worth money indirectly.

Humble's starting to creep into my shitlist. It's baffling to me that UPlay is more customer friendly than Humble.

Also, this isn't purely IGN, something that people like screeching like a catchphrase. This was going on before IGN owned them. The bad customer service was present, the running out of keys was an issue for free things and let's not forget Humble Monthly, which is a thing that people eventually just accepted (Humble dealt a lot with charities, but the monthlies barely contribute to charities).

Humble's still got good games for their bundles/monthlies though, so it'll probably be enough to keep them in the good books for most people for now. But these issues are becoming more and more common.

It's even more fucked up if you're NOT one of the people who visited the site day to day, since your key reward stickers would've come from each $5 you spent on their sale.

Seeing your promo keys all lined up with your purchase keys, and there being such a direct connection between what you spent and the rewards..... well, I know I definitely never would've even questioned whether the keys were absolutely guaranteed at that point. Of course they're all just listed there now and waiting to be redeemed at my leisure, same as ever.

Imagine getting all the reward tiers from purchases made that first day only to come back a few weeks later (when you decided to add them or maybe remembered that you originally forgot) only to discover that they retroactively added an expiration date AND still don't even have your keys from earned on that first day with real money. Yikes.

They also had bundle with "limited number" of keys. While it did happen earlier, seeing how they lately have "problem" with free / extra keys do make you wonder if it's not done on purpose.

If they have 10k keys, they should write it on day 1. And then after keys are depleted (and people won't get anything for logging in daily anymore) they should remove information about stickers from main page, and explain situation.

Also I was in "afraid to write to support" situation. But my case was about HB problem with my e-mail provider, as they didn't send me authentication code to log in.... I had problems previously where redeeming giftlink could took days, as their re-sender was taking that long to send me list of redeemed keys (directly redeeming giftlink never sent me code on e-mail).

But it was choice between writing to support and being flagged as trader, no access to account and not writing to support to not be flagged as trader, and don't have access to account due to lack of log in code. I did write to them explaining situation about my e-mail provider, they just sent me copy-paste message and gave me code that was valid for 24h. So I logged in and changed my e-mail. Thankfully not marked as trader.

I actually spotted your comment about your worries. It was one of the main reasons that point actually popped in my head at that moment. I likely would've forgotten to add it otherwise. I've heard a fair number of complaints about people having that exact issue though. Basically saying: "We've looked at your account and determined that your purchased products have been used against our TOS" or something along those lines. Creating fear among your customer base is a good indicator of something being extremely wrong.

When they have limited keys, it's always as vague as possible and usually not very easily noticeable. We can pretend that they're some up-and-coming company that's just like us, but they're a massive business that has made a fortune with this. They know what they're doing. If they didn't, then they'd have to be so unbelievable ignorant that it'd be a miracle they didn't forget to breathe every other second.
They have cash counters for their profits, average payments overall and per OS. They have live counters for sold bundle counts and a minute-by-minute BTA price calculator. Yet they won't add a live key counter for the limited keys?

Thanks for the input. You've added a good perspective to my comment.

I wasn't able to get a single game either from their latest stamp events, and while one should be rightfully pissed at Humble Bundle as they didn't keep their end of the bargain and deliver the games they promised us, it should be pointed out that resellers/traders/bots jumped on the keys like hungry animals. I saw giveaways with 5 copies of the said games being made on this very website, as usual, a bunch of greedy rotten apples make it bad for the rest of us.
