The episode is listed as app ID 351940, while the Complete Season is listed as sub 92163. Also there's the Rest of Season DLC (episode 2-5) with app ID 401640, therefore I believe that you should have higher chance with having episode 1, since you would also see DLC giveaways.
But it would be nice if someone who has tested it in this or a similar case could confirm it.

If this is permanent (and it probably will be), and not a temporary free offer like for Barrier X recently, then it was a shitty move by the developer to participate in the Groupees build-a-bundle the game was just in, this month, I think. It was just the first episode, too, not the full season.
