If you have, check your xbox app, maybe there's a message from dev team with a free code for a nice car. maybe. I dunno.

Thanks for the info, I would probably never have noticed the messages. I had one for playing the demo and one for purchasing the game.
I'm not sure why they did it this way since there is a message system in the game itself where you can receive gifts (I'm pretty sure I even got other rewards related to the demo there).

Yeah, really weird. Only thing weirder than that was me running the app on accident and noticing a message waiting. LOL

Their UI is a biblical mess! I cannot understand how the inventor of Windows .... wait, scratch that thought.

Having to navigate back and forth through multiple programs to manage your friend requests and the likes is simply weird.
Availabilty of your garage and tuning options is also utterly complicated. Already had one friend getting lost in the menus O_o

Thanks, can the code be activated before having the game? I'm waiting for a good sale on the physical version.

Yes. You can even right click on the message, select copy, then click on "activate a key" bellow messages to start the process directly from xbox app on windows.

Thanks for the reminder, just checked out the demo and I have to say the "intro" or whatever that was with the changing seasons as you race was very cool. Seems like a very well optimised game too. I played the first few scenarios up to the stunt driver mission, but no message for me so far. Is there anything specific you need to do to activate it?

Also, if anyone knows how to change the install location of Microsoft Store apps, let me know. I thought there used to be a setting for this, but I can't find it anymore.

You should get to the end of the demo, when you get an additional costume to unlock in the full game.

Settings - system - storage - change where new content is saved - apps.

Thanks. I kept looking under the Settings for the Store app itself, where I thought this option would be. I would have never guessed you needed to change it under Windows Settings > System, which is just terrible and confusing UX design, urgh :(

It's actually a perfect design... for a mobile/desktop OS where all apps will be installed from a built-in store. Which is exactly what Win10 was supposed to be before Gaben pushed with SteamOS and now we have "default option" to install from any source, but there's still a switch right there if you look for it (settings - update and security - for developers -- default is side-load, but this same option on let's say android by default is "google play only" which is probably what M$ would do with W10 if UWP was adopted a bit smoother and without the resistance it had/has. Sure, SteamOS never replaced Windows, but it did what it was supposed to do - let M$ know they are replaceable if they start pooling tricks).
