Are the COD games unusually resistant to price drops or am I paranoid?
God, it's fucking awful, I hate it too.
Like, yo; $20 (disregarding the current sale) will either get you a game that's six years old (already bullshit), or a game in the same series that's twelve years old.
You get a game that's twice as dated and irrelevant, with dead multiplayer, for the same price as one half as aged.

They got me to buy the entire franchise in Steam despite the fact I have yet to play them. I have the CDs for the Warchest games somewhere and I had MW 1-3, Blops and WaW for PS3 so it seemed worth getting them all in one spot. :) They are quite expensive, though. :(

Years upon Years I have never seen a good price for the games.

Bobby Kotick/Activision
This is why I believe neither EA nor Ubisoft are the most evil games company out there, it's Activision. They even destroyed CoD's creators out of greed despite them being responsible for never-ending amounts of money coming Activisions way.
There's not a single Activision game out there that sells for really cheap, they all retain top dollar prices.

Well missed the mark but if you want to by Fish of Booty just don't buy it off steam. In fact I'd say it is one of the few games you are better off going into a store and buying it.

Back in the day, they actually got 75% off so you could buy World at War for $5 USD but after MW2 the Fanbase was so big that those prices were never seen again. The reason?....people pay the overpriced shit. If no one buys their shit = Price drops.

I usually buy them from nzgameshop now, where they are cheap.

Why are the Call Of Duty games so expensive and why does it take so long for their price to drop at all, let alone become reasonable? No other game series seems to be as resistant to price drops and decent sales as COD. What's that all about, huh? Why can't the regular prices drop to ~15 euros so I could buy those pieces of crap when they're on sale, 90% off the regular price?
