Here is http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00A2Z50KI for 13.31$, they say is Steam DRM, so AC3 is now Steamworks really? or it's a mistake. Hope someone will post a thread here on SG about all Amazon deals http://steamcommunity.com/groups/Hookups#announcements/detail/1676745778393448954 I'm too lazy XD.

Cool I just bought Psycho Pack DLC for my brother is just 5$ on amazon, same as Mechromancer.

Amazon carries both Uplay and Steam keys for AC3. I think people were requesting steam keys during the winter sale so Amazon listened.

I'm a member of the same group, and if you bothered to read the whole announcement, you'd see that the Uplay version is on sale for the same amount. It's not Steamworks, it's just also on Steam.

All it does when you open the game in steam is launch uplay. Personally games like this I prefer to just keep in uplay so as to not just have a 'shortcut' that is useless in steam.

Yea I've heard that too. Pretty stupid system in my opinion. Going to continue to pass on this until uPlay is out of the equation entirely.

If you're asking if the Uplay key activates on Steam, I'm pretty positive it won't. If you're saying the Uplay key is useless since they're also selling a Steam key, I guarantee you there are plenty of people that say "no Uplay, no buy."

that plenty of ppl compared to Steam ones are just nothing. but I have the game on Uplay and nothing wrong.

There probably isn't a lot, but they still exist, and since there's so little overhead with it, any company would be absolutely stupid not to sell Uplay codes separately.

There was a legend about a group of brave people that used to say "no Uplay, no buy",..........bla bla bla bla..............and they were workers of Ubisoft. XD ( this is how this story ends.)

I don't know if you're just joking, but if you're trying to make a point, the point is kind of ruined when you look not ten posts above and see someone saying "I'd prefer to buy the Uplay code."

Hmmm, wondering if I should buy this now for my backlog. I don't see AC3 on sale for steam version much. If the game drops to the 19.99 range and gets constant -75% sales would it be for Uplay or Steam.

I bought 1, 2, and Brotherhood over Winter (I think) and completely lost steam after the first, so I'm holding off until I at least beat one more to buy 3, no matter the price.

Play 2, you will love the franchise, play 3, you will hate the franchise.

is AC3 that bad? played the other series and i can't say but good things about AC

The only thing bad about AC3 is the optimization. I could play Revelations on high settings without a problem, but in AC3 after I reach Boston I can't get playable framerates even if I set everything to low. The recommended system requirements are not enough to play the game on the lowest graphic possible.

But if you have a decent PC you don't have to worry, probably.

A steam redeemable key doesn't make it steamworks

I buy the steam keys so I am glad Amazon added them. I like a central hub for all my games, even if it still requires uplay.

They did this with Max Payne 3 too I believe and other games requested on the forum, their rep is really good at using feedback
