Request a new winner

Hey so I did my first giveaway today. It was only an hour long so I was here ready to give the game to the winner right away when it ended. Tried to add them to friends on steam to give it...and they denied my request. So I sent them an email saying just wanted to give you your gift ect add me if you want it. Just in case i don't get a response I'm just wondering how long do I wait before requesting a new winner? If it was me I wouldn't be denying the friends request..just sayin. Sorry if its in the FAQ couldn't find it.

Some people don't accept random adds because that's usually the way scammers work.

This and there's a problem with kids (hopefully kids) finding people on here, adding them, then begging for free games.

Yeah, because there's no way of avoiding getting scammed once you accept the invite, and certainly not by deleting him again.

Well I do accept every friend request I get. I did get a few beggars and scammers like that, but I like to insta-add people when trading so I have to let them do the same.
That's just what someone told me when I randomly added him.

I accept every invite I get, since I don't lose anything by doing so. If it happens to be a scammer, block and delete him, takes about 5 seconds. So, I don't get why some people don't accept random friend requests, unless they literally can't waste 5 seconds of their time..

Do you have a problem with creator of giveaway being fast? I'd be mad if this thread was about someone winning giveaway and wanting to receive it instantly, but it's not.

  • He made thread cause winner denied his friend request.

actually the winner marked his gift as received but he still hasn't been in contact with me lol and I haven't given it to him yet..now im totally confused.
