And X2, that was just a Dress-Me-Up Final Fantasy. Same shallow characters, same lame story or lack of one...
Basically, it's a remake of FF8, which was one of the worst next to 7.

I forgot to add in that COMPLETLY inane crap grid leveling system. One of the reasons I'm sorry I actually paid for FF13 on Steam. Haven't played it since January. Just can NOT bring myself to play that POS.

FF13 was the badest Game ever in my Opinion! Like.. I love the Game itself but the characters are just so bad. Like.. Hope and Vanille. I dont have to say more isnt it? :D
I love FFX because of the Sphere Grid and the million ways to go. I loved the Blitzball with Wakka and the Monsterfarm. like... It was fully fantastic like the Tales of Symphonia series. You remember it?

You have to admit that most of them are still very highly regarded games. There is plenty of reason for them to be on Steam. And I mean, Steam has things like Bad Rats, it's not like even the worst Final Fantasy would be a step down. Steam already has the worst Final Fantasy anyway, and it's not 13.

If it's 3 or 4, I loved 4. Had almost every US version. Including when ti was 2 on a REAL SNES. And 3 was great too. Have both on my android now.

Personally, I loved every single game in the franchise I've played (Currently playing X-2 on my PS2 for the first time, only missing XII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns).

7-8-9 are the greatest considering the grafics and fight system compared to the 2d previous final fantasies and are best as a story compared to the final fantasies after them

You know, for all the shit 8 gets, I have to agree with most of it. Drawing is bullshit, the writing is laughable, the game just looks ugly every time it's not using the CG sequences, and it's overly complicated so you'll probably find yourself not understanding any of the junction system...
...BUT! Once you actually get your head around that system, and it's not too hard if even I could do it, it suddenly becomes one of the most interesting and deep rpg combat mechanic that you'll play, rivalling the likes of Anachronox, even.
But yeah, let's keep the gobshite off Steam, and that should start with not voting on the likes of Air Control, which we as a community tragically failed to do, so apparently fuck us, because we deserve it. Those FF games aren't the ones you should start the "purge" with, and they'd be a good addition, even if they're kinda shit, like 13 was for example. At least they're functional and have some good things in them.

The stock situation had absolutely nothing to do with what we're talking about. Sony bought that stock in 2001 when Square Enix wasn't doing so hot. Now Sony isn't doing quite as well and Square Enix is doing quite well so Sony sold the stock back to them.

I played only 4 hours of it , and i just wanted to kill myself after that ... it open up more after that ?
(Keep in mind i loot everything and try to talk with everyone) so 4h is like 3h inside the game for normal ppl .

Amazon have also leaked Crash Bandicoot for PS4 (2013), Forza for PC (2014), Bloodborn for PC (2015), oh and my favoutite, Uncharted 3: World of Deceit for PS3 in 2010. They even included their own faked artwork for that one. :D
So, if Amazon France leaks it, easier to believe it will never happen.

FFX was great, loved the Sphere Grid and the Aeons being controllable was nice as well. I think I would be very interested in all of the Square Enix lineup. Kingdom Hearts at the front of those, with the Crisis Core games as well if they were to ever port them to PC (probably never). I'm really interested in the Crisis Core stories but I never had or wanted a PSP.

I really enjoyed Final Fantasy X. It was an early title I picked up for PS2 way back in the day. I still remember being blown away by the CGI.
I never did get FFX-2.
Either way, I'd snap up any and all Final Fantasy titles from Steam (other than the online only pay-to-play versions.)

I'm going to say unlikely, but possible.
Others released on PC so far were already available (VII and VIII), ported to everything else already (III and IV, and such a shame they couldn't port the PSP release of IV), were an MMO (XI and XIV) or lastly, was Final Fantasy XIII.
That last one is a good example why they won't give people what they want.
The fact that they released the X / X-2 Remaster on PS4 recently also means they will be likely to make more money with it where it currently is than if they ported it to PC.
As should be said in most topics like this, if people want console exclusives so bad, buying a console is a good idea, instead of asking everyone to port their games so you can buy them when they hit 75% off.

Ayup. Loved the CTB battle system in it. Not a fan of the ATB system so much, so unless I really like the story / characters, that won't carry it for me.

I liked the older FF games , cause they had great stories , and i liked the characters ...
I really liked 9 , then 10 was... m3h ... the mmo was just... :c and i really cant see anyone sane defending 12 .
It may not been complete ass , but id prefer if they just Remade the old ones in HD and started releasing them 1 by 1 ...

With all seriousness i got a PS3 and a PC only ... and i cant really afford the games for PS , so id love having the chance to get them on steam ( since its cheaper ) ... and i really dont enjoy playing games with a controller in general (Most of times )
Its not really childhood games for me , its more of great games that i never had the chance to play games .
Since i played The punisher , cadilacs and dinosaurs , snow bros ... etc when i was a kid :)

I've never played a FF game, but honestly, I think there's a very good chance that any and all third party games on PS4 or Juan could come to PC, considering how much easier it is to port this generation. Unless they're getting paid a considerable chunk of change to stay on a console, they have no reason to artificially limit their market to just consoles. They have no skin in the console game.

Each game has a slightly different system. There's a turn-based element to it, but turns build up over time (including while others are taking/thinking about turns) and you don't necessarily have to wait for the previous character to take their turn. If you were going to try a FF game, then - despite the hate it gets from some fans - the FF13 series would probably be the best one to try, as far as the combat goes. In the first two games, instead of having to wait for a full turn to charge up, you can cut turns short when you need to make a particular kind of attack quickly. It's still definitely somewhat turn-based behind the scenes, but the game is generally more about quick decisions and good character builds.
Lightning Returns (third in the FF13 series) has a single character system which brings it even closer to an action-based game - you can move your character all the time, and use any of your equipped skills as long as you have enough turn points (which is now more like energy/stamina), plus there's bonuses for timing attacks and guards correctly.

That doesn't sound too bad. I'll have to give it a shot someday. My problem with turn-based combat is just that it feels inherently silly. Why would we take turns hitting each other, and the other party just stands there, admiring the now gaping wounds.

I would be (pleasently) suprised if we see a PC-Release of FFX in the forseeable future.. I guess its rather hardcoded for Sony-Hardware and Square so far has avoided even the smallest amount of effort for ports and re-releases of these beautiful games.. you can always hope of course, and I would buy it without hesitation!
I´m playing the HD-Remaster on Vita right now and actually enjoy it more than the PS2-Original back in the days.. apart from the abysmal Minigames its a wonderfull game. I think it still has some major letdowns compared to the earlier games (especially 6-9) and back in the PS2-days, my high expectations partly ruined FFX for me.. but this time I know what to expect and can fully enjoy the good parts of the game.
