So I've been trying to stream for a while now, but every time I start my stream gets really jumpy and choppy. My game is totally fine, but the stream is totally messed up. I'm using OBS and trying to stream Warframe.

I've never been that good with hardware so I have no idea if this stuff is good or not :/
My specs are: Processor AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor
Installed memory ran: 8.00GB (7.84 unusable)
System Type: 64 bit operating System. x64-based processor

My OBS bitrate is 2500
and 60 FPS.

I dont know what I'm doing wrong :[ IF anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated :]

A little something for your trouble.

Yeah :[
Nooooo...

Open Task Manager while your streaming and go to the Performance Tab. Watch the CPU and Memory usage. If it caps out, that is most likely the problem.

Also, what's your internet speed? Go to http://beta.speedtest.net/ to check. I've been told you need at least 8-10 mbps UPLOAD to sustain a decent stream.

I did some more testing and when I lowered my bitrate to 300 the lagging stopped and it got really bad quality.

ohhh snap. it might be my internet. I've never done a test thingy. I have 0.44 upload RIIIP

It sounds like your trying to stream at a higher bitrate than you have bandwidth. There used to be a guide on the OBS site for optimizing the setting, but their site has changed since I last visited. You need to know your upload bandwidth. Do a speed test (speedtest.net) to find out your actual upload rate (your ISP's advertised rate isn't always accurate). Set your bitrate to 80% of that. If you're playing Warframe coop, that will also impact streaming performance and latency in the game if you don't have the bandwidth for both.

2500 bitrate isnt all that great for 60 fps 1080p, might wanna go to 3400 bitrate for that.. or just go 30fps and downscale to 720 at your current bitrate. How is your cpu load while streaming and gaming at the same time? As that might be something else that is causing the frame drops you are experiencing.
