The shortest one I did was 8 hours (I think), and the longest was a week.
Usually 2 - 5 days.

Basically I like people to have a chance to see it, have enough points, and enter without having too much chance to win another in the meantime

I prefer doing 1 day long giveaways except when launching events like huge trains. It's just easier to handle a small amount of gifts (almost once each day) than a huge batch.
It's also easier to keep in mind where the keys came from and people still could purchase the bundle (in case of bundled games) if they were unlucky.

I always have a minimum of 24 hours so all time zones get a fair shot, other than that it depends on what I'm doing. if I post a train I tend to make the time longer so people have a chance to restore their points, if I'm just posting one or two I'll probably just have a couple days on them

I almost always make it go for around 2-5 days, depending on the occasion, so that most people can have a fair shot at it.

depends on the reason for creating the giveaway, and the group/public/whitelist i am giving it too.
for publics i do not really care if everyone can find it, so i am ok with 1 hour, this is also my preferred running time, when i feel like boosting my level.., as for group giveaways, depending on the group there are rulez or guidelines

but my white list,,, running time does not really matter, usually 2 to 5 days,,, since i know the max amount of entries and the activity of the users in them.... these giveaways are not to boost my cv but just to make me feel good :)

As short as an hoyr, as long as a moth.

Depends in what I'm in the mood fir, what I'm guvubh away, and why I'm giving it away
Bundle trash to improve my ratio might will probably go the bare minimum. While AAA titles as part of a puzzle might go the distance

I usually do several days for giveaway events, puzzles and trains.

I like one-hour giveaways for bundled games I forgot about, or just to bump those stats a little. (^w^)
