Sending gift to winner, thought i did. :x

Someone won a gift from me, i thought i sent it (i mean i went to my inventory, filled in the winners email adress etc) i even contacted him on steam saying hey can you please check etc. He never said any word to me and he's always online when i am not.
Now it has been 6 days ago, and i dont see the offer i sent in my gift history, unless that disappears after x days?

So i don't know if i did tried to send it or not and if i should try 1 more time in which he probably won't notice before the 7 days are up.
Then again he could also have tried to say hey i did not receive my gift yet while he is in my friends list.

[Edit] Winner received and marked his gift now. :)

If the gift disappeared from your inventory, that means the other end accepted it.
You should also be able to see that in the Gift History page, reachable from your Steam inventory.

I know gifts disappear from the inventory, if it does remain in the gift history page then i probably accidently did not actually
send it. I don't know when it will reach the 7th day and if it's enough time for him to still see it.
If he actually bothered to talk to me however i could have done something about it alot sooner.

Now he could accept it, 7 days are up and he gets his gift and i am left with an unmarked on the other hand i can't really ask for a reroll if i did not actually tried to send it before.

If it's unclaimed and still in your inentory it should say "sent to" then either his Steam username or email if you did indeed send id it and if he didn't refuse the gift. Are you not seeing that?

No it doesn't but i had it happen before where a name or email got changed to a bunch of random numbers/letters.

[edit] now i see his message (it never showed up for me) i tried sending him something else, so i picked the wrong gift for him and that he did not accept. still remains if i am going to send the right item to him if he will get it on time now.
