I'm looking for some kind of castle exploration game, just like Amnesia but without the scare things, you know? I really enjoy medieval-like games and such, can anyone recommend me a game?

It would be better if you can explore the castles and such. Thanks in advance.

Check out some reviews beforehand to make sure it's the type of game you want.

Also check out Shining in the Darkness if you're into dungeon-crawlers.

Tips for OP- Skip out on The Elder Scrolls: 1, 2, and 5. And Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is not what you are looking for.

Yes, you will hate yourself for all the time you spent on Skyrim, while you could have be playing its superior predecessors.

Yeah, it's one of those things. Either you love Morrowind and Oblivion and hate Skyrim or vice versa, and if you hate Skyrim, it's usually for the same reasons listed by the people that love it.

Going from Skyrim to Morrowind is like going from WoW to EQ. If you can look past all of the convenience you got used to in Skyrim, and the low-grade graphics, Morrowind will suck you in.

Great analogy, considering EQ pre-Luclin was one of the best MMOs ever, and I seriously mean that. Vanguard: Saga of Heroes captured that feel, but was sadly sold to/raped by Sony.

I like Morrowind and Skyrim. Oblivion was a few walled off locations + swaths of randomly generated land and randomly generated loot. That shit was very very boring.

Except Oblivion takes places in Cyrodiil and Morrowind in Morrowind on the island of Vvardenfell.

I was trying to think of a game like this recently. I came up blank though will watch this thread to see if anyone suggests something good. Amnesia is a good example for the scale I'm looking for. The Elder Scrolls games all have tiny castles/forts usually only a few areas each. One of the most disappointing things about those games.

Yeah, the ambient in Amnesia was one of the best things i've experienced in a game.

Castle exploration theme makes this kinda limited, but you said you like medieval games in general so try mount and blade warband :D so good

Castlevania series - it's right in the title and exploration is the focus of many games in series. Latest game was also annonced for this year's release on PC.

Dark Souls - a lot of time must be spent inside medieval castles and cities; not scary, but hard.

Legacy of Cain - fearures many gothic castles.

Not so much exploration as fighting through the ruins. Plus it has horror elements, which the OP is looking to avoid.
