playifre

False.

Jokes aside, I've earned a few dollars to play a couple of games (paid $1.00 for Bioshock Infinite, get $1.00 back in playfire rewards)--but I'd rather just stick to Steam when it comes to these type of things.

You connect your Playfire account to your Steam account, through your Playfire account options.
Then, log in to the website [or load it up if you're already logged in] once prior to [playing any game with a special offer] to activate the offer.
Play the game through steam.
Log in to/load up the website again.

After that, within 24 hours it'll sync to steam and update your progress.

It's very low-effort. :)

I guess something went wrong with my playfire account. It says that I have 0 games but it tracked activity for some of them. It also says that I last played my games in 1970... I'm not that old =\
I opened support ticket.

More importantly, STEAM isn't that old, having originated only a decade ago.

Listen, if you're going to time travel, you can't just go breaking things, okay? :X

I played two games with rewards. I got credited for the first one only, bought a cheap bundle on GMG. My report for the second game was ignored and it's been two months, so I stopped using it. Too unreliable for me.

I have contacted support on June about a reward that didn't activate, they replied me late august, a couple of weeks after the reward i was asking about got deleted.

The reward system was buggy, which is why- this special Bioshock offer aside- it was taken down to be reworked.

Ah, so they probably have a backlog of these type of tickets. Good to know I might get my 50 cents by Christmas :)

Well, i still didn't get the 0.5$, but i'm in touch with support at least, she said she still can retro activate it though. So there's hope....
The reward was : Link your Steam account with your playfire account, my account were linked before the reward was up, so who knows.

That one was broken for everyone.
Let me know if they do credit you, though, because they told me they couldn't credit that one.

If you didn't log in to the site prior to attempting any 'quest', and then logged in again after completing it, it seemed to not take.

Likewise, certain 'quests' were just.. quirky in working or not.

Then again, minimal effort for [potentially] getting rewards for games you already own.
It was a good set of deals :)

Playfire rewards are pretty much dead nowadays.

Months ago I made like 10$ passively just by playing whatever I happened to play. Now rewards are rather rare and little.

I used all of it to buy Borderlands 2 for free (when it was -75%). Sadly GMG never has really good deals, rarely though they are at least on the same scale as steam discounts, so using your playfire credit then is a good opportunity.

"is it worth it"

Depends on your approach, if it's like mine and you just sign up and never look at the objectives and just incidentally get a reward here or there every few months, then how is it not worth it? :P
