Are you going to provide a solution? I am curious how we were supposed to solve this. I couldn't find hidden text in the picture, nothing in the page source code or the exif data for the image. No comments on the imgur page. I also thought the skulls might have been a stereogram, but that didn't work.

Since the giveaway is over but without the permission of the GA maker (if he wants I will delete the message):
there are 5 tiny letters on five skulls (for example under the left eye on one skull of the second and third row).

Thanks for the info. I guess I just didn't look good enough. I did increase the brightness to see if anything was hidden, but I didn't think the characters would be that small, so I didn't look close enough.
