I just did mine today. It was embarrassing. I was hoping that's what was causing my FFXV crashing issues, but alas. Still happening.

Yup. Clean out your case at least monthly, more often if you have pets that shed a lot. I have 3 cats so I try to clean mine once every couple weeks.

I blow the hell out of mine every few months with a workshop compressor, 6 computers blow billowing clouds of dust into the air. I make sure I wear a mask too because there has been so many times I've snorted some and spent hours sneezing. Needless to say I don't ask my neighbours what they think of clouds of dust heading over into their property :p (it usually dissipates pretty quickly though).

Haha. It actually does look like part of an animal pawing towards the front of the desk. XD

I clean my tower only once my temps reach high levels while underload. Otherwise I'm more likely to damage components.

How do you clean your tower? If you use air compressor you cant really damage anything if you also hold the fan/s so it wont turn when you're cleaning it.

I don't have an air compressor at home :( only canned air and that doesn't really clean everything. When I do clean I take apart all of components and re-thermal paste/clean the circuit boards/heat sinks with a special cloth (I forget what it's called)

If you're doing all of that just to clean dust then really try to get one. I think you can get some cheap electric air compressors from around $10 in Canada. It will save you lots of time and money that you spend now on thermal paste. You can also use rubbing alcohol for cleaning - just don't use water.

Same D:

I visited friend not long ago, and I was on place before she was home (flatmate let me in). Floor in kitchen was so dirty I couldn't look at it, so I broom it. And heard "what are you doing, you're my guest" when she was finally back from uni ;D

My long hair killed my cooling. You can clean fur off, but if long hair find way into your fan... Good thing is that changing fan forced me to clean my pc and I think my room isn't so hot now:)

MoBo can be washed with water and soap, but make sure to let it air dry for a day or two. Did that once for my MoBo and it still works.

I got a 220 euro case with filters and i am still surprised how much dust it still collects after 2 months.

You still need to clean just slightly less.

That looks like what I pulled out of my video card last week when I took it apart to figure out why it was overheating.

Spoilers: I figured out why it was overheating.
