Problem with SC:BL

restart steam?

Strange. I have pre-loaded a few games in the past but have not had that issue before... try restarting steam.. then if that does not work verify cache, if that does not work.. restart the system and see if that works? You might end up having to delete the files and redownload.. :(

Same problem. They got a gift from a friend in an other region and were stuck on pre-loading.

Well, it's only getting released on 29th in Russia. Probably true for some other countries as well.

Not sure if what I'm about to say is correct, but this is what I've experienced in the past.

At the time I got Aliens:CM from a friend (Russia), we were not aware that it was region locked. When the time came for me to play the game, it was stuck on pre-loading. Just like how your Splinter Cell game is. I don't have SC:BL, but perhaps it's region locked?

I had to get Steam Support to remove the game from my library and I just gave the game back to my friend.

Double-check that the game is already out in your region. For instance, in my region it says it will be released in 3 days, so I only have the Preload option, too.

not related to the question, but are you using a skin on Steam?

My friend has exact the same problem for 3 days now. He bought the game on Steam, using his account and CC, pre-loaded, but the game never unlocked.
