Best of luck on the job hunt. Hit it hard and keep hitting it until you get what you want.
It's easy to get down on yourself over not getting the job, but consider instead celebrating that you were asked to interview, and keep your confidence high.

What Tzarr said, stay focused on the positive and keep your head up. Stay persistent and you'll find what your looking for, a good majority of it is a numbers game. Best of luck to you in your search!

Hey! I'm actually in a very similar position. I've been unemployed for about nine months and have been applying for jobs this entire time, but I got no interviews whatsoever. The way my country is right now also doesn't help. Yay!
I'm pretty much getting desperate at this point. But hey, we'll make it through! They say it gets darker before dawn. Let the dark come. Light will too, eventually.

best of luck I was in the same boat close to a year ago for about 18 months at that. Although it meant that I got to spend most of the first 2 years of my daughters life with her which was the silver lining in a horribly stressful and depressing situation. You've got people rooting for you, so just keep at it. If you're getting interviews then that''s at least a step in the right direction. In my desperation, in feeling like my resume wasn't getting me anywhere I tried a professional writing service.... My response rate dropped from 18% to 3%. The r/Resume on Reddit helped me salvage it, again. But anyways I digress, just keep at it and you'll get there eventually. Remember too that your family loves you no matter what, and your worth to them, and yourself, is not dependent on a job.

Don't allow yourself to be discouraged. You will find what you need eventually. In the mean time, try to remember to consider the time with your kids that you have now as precious. Some place will realize that what they need is...you. :D
Good luck with the job hunt!
When I start feeling down, I pull out some OTR shows, most of which are 25-30 minutes long, many of which are in the public domain and can be found on archive.org. Depending on the genre you prefer, I could probably recommend more than one series. I personally always find my spirits lifted when listening to the Jack Benny Show, Fibber McGee & Molly, or the Birds Eye Open House. If you like old movies, the Lux Radio Theater & Screen Guild Theater broadcast movies-adapted-for-radio.
