yikes! I would say buy a motherboard and a processor. I think the E5800 was a 775 socket maybe? look into sandy or ivy bridge processors for the 1155 socket motherboards. A quad core 775 socket processor is going to be a ridiculous price for outdated technology.

Ideally you could afford to wait for one and a half or two years. Then you could buy a PC that would be strong enough to last the entire console generation at a fair price. Right now your CPU is the most outdated but if you change it you will also need to change motherboard, RAM and maybe more.

If you're wondering where the bottleneck is, it's probably the processor. However, RAM might also help, depending on how much you have and if you're running Windows 64 or 32 bit.
