I already have two of Ion Storm's best-known games: Daikatana, and System Shock 2. I'm planning to add the classical Thief series to my Ion Storm collection as well.
Anachronox was an above average game, am I right? I've always wanted to own it you know :)

"above average game"
I'd say so ;) I'd give it an 8/10, since apart from the graphics not being very good by today's standards, the game does hold up well.

I wasn't aware of that, thank you for enlightening me. Shame on me for believing a below-par dev like Ion Storm could make two of the most influential games at the turn of the millennium -- it could only be Looking Glass Studios (now I know), kudos to them.

The confusion is understandable:
Those games came out of Ion Storm Austin, the studio that had Warren Spector in the lead. He's the one who brought in a lot of other ex-Looking Glass folks, and was the one to convince Eidos to get the Thief IP.

In the legendary Ultima series of early PC gaming, there is a character based off Warren Spector, named "Johann Schliemann Spector" (aka Zipactriotl).
But I believe that Cim remains correct; System Shock 2 & Thief 1+2 were both developed by Looking Glass Studios, and not Ion Storm Austin.

Oh yes, Cim was correct.
Just wanted to shed some light on why Deus Ex in particular is made by Ion Storm but feels a lot like a Looking Glass game, and why and how they ended up making Thief 3 after Looking Glass folded - all to do with a lot of Looking Glass people ending up there.

Daikatana is a steaming pile of shit. Ion Storm's absolute best game, also one of the best games in history, is and will always be Deus Ex.

I have seen the future and the future is now.
Thanks for the giveaway!

This time I finally got Anachronox. Right at the tart of the sale, located my friendly Russian trader, got Anachronox + Startopia for a key. It took years for those games to come to Steam, and over a year for me to get them. Blame the region locked sale.

Quick head's up: In just over 30 mintutes we'll be in the right place in the space-time continuum to enter the GA. There's not a large window of opportunity, so jump in while you can!

Missed the time-travel shennanigans ? Then try and find the poorly-hidden 2nd GA ;)

Seems every time I reply to a thread on those, I'm compelled to bring up Anachronox. Which as / is only 1.50 during the summer sale so grab it if you're quick and like jrpgs ;)
Or, you could enter the giveaway I just created, but that has a catch - the game originally was supposed to involve time travel, which then got pushed to a sequel plot, which then disappeared along with any plans for a sequel there may have been.
In reference to that, some time-travel is required to get into the GA. Nothing too taxing, just keep going in the direction you're already going timewise...
