I like zombies solely for the apocalyptic theme, and survival in certain games.

Wouldn't have found these words myself but yet they seem to be true for me. I also like books about zombies, but it's not for the zombies themself. I don't think there is any way zombies would work out. Put one in a basement room for 20 years and it would still be alive. Well, undead. You know what I mean.

I love zombie films (and have done for a long, long time), so am in a way predisposed to like zombie games. I can see what your saying, but I don't think you can say you hate all zombie games when you haven't played any. That's like saying you dislike cheese without ever trying it.
There are so many zombie games available that purely by the law of averages there will be one that will will enjoy, If only a very small amount.

I was into them way before they even released their first 7".

My relation with zombies is sensual but platonic.
They also make a good target practice for my archers in dwarf fortress. Especially if you manage to get zombie dragons. Or zombie unicorns.

I just wonder would fornication with a zombie be called necrophilia or just sex 'cuz in someway they're not dead yet...
And no, I have no intention to find out myself. (maybe I would pay to watch..I mean to know the result though)

Pay to watch eh ?
I suppose the survivor humans would make a reality tv show out of it.

A short story exists about that exact thing.. A site with lots of stories made by fans of the zombie genre has it. Do not know if the site is still up as I have not been to it in years though.

Zombie =/= Undead. At least the modern depiction of them. The modern zombie is usually a caused by a virus or a parasite, contacting a virus or a parasite doesn't equal to dying, and if the host is dead, the virus or the parasite isn't some form of magic, it doesn't resurrect the dead body.
So in short no, it won't be necrophilia, just a really weird fetish.

wait....what if somebody had sex with the one of the husks in the mass effect universe? Would it be called technophilia or just sex since they are hybrid, synthetic of both human and machine?!?

DayZ, teamspeak, by night, on a forest road, a few guys, one or two lights, no gun.
Playing in a dark room with sound to max.

I like very much the zombie's world:

My relationship with zombies? They think of me as food and I think of them as a place to store slightly used ammo.
On a related note, why has it been 20 years since we had a Zombies Ate My Neighbors game?

I LOVE Zombie films and books etc, cant get wnough of them!
However when it comes to gaming I've struggled with Zombie games. I've seriously tried but havent ever got on with any of the big ones (L4D, Dead Rising etc etc etc etc). The only ones I've been ok with are:
Red Dead Undead Nightmare - was ok not great but RDR itself was sucha fantastic game and probably the highlight of my gaming life so far I had to like it to a certain extent
Dead Island - Its pretty much fetch quests and zombies thrown in. Its ok, not hated it though so thats something. Looks nice though and its nice being able to see the scenery rather than it being dark
However I bought State of Decay on release on the 360 on a whim and its by far the best Zombie game I've ever played. All the others are generally more about killing the undead rather than trying to survive and thats what sets the game apart for me. Its more like a playable Walking Dead TV series game (ignoring the telltale series and the piss poor shooter). Waiting for a sale on SoD on steam and I'll pick it up again. You should realy give it a shot, not sure if PC has a demo like 360 has but even then the demo's fairly dull. Once you get out of the first area it turns amazing

I'm a HUGE Zombie fan. Like really huge. Almost nothing could make me happy as much as a real life zombie apocalypse could.
I've loved Zombies ever since I was a small child. And that was a very long time ago. Anyway, there aren't even 50-ish zombie games out there. They started to become more and more popular since two years ago, when DayZ was announced. There were couple of games before that (L4D series and Dead Island), but that's about it. So i'm very happy that more and more people are starting to make zombie related movies and games. :)
That's just my opinion though.

Looong before L4D and Dead Island you had for example Killing Floor (it was a great mod for UT2k4, then it went retail) and other zombie mods for first H-L. There were probably other but I don't remember. Heck, I know that I loved playing one zombie shooter in isometric view even on SNES but I don't remember the title of it. I write about Killing Floor mod because Valve just stole special zombies design from it for their L4D ;-)

I just love zombie and postapocalyptic themes, not only in games. Most zombie shooters are also great for coop play which I like very much. Nothing better after a hard day at work than an evening beer with a friend during some zombie head-smashing session :-)

There are 100's of games out there that are full of zombies, kill zombies, plants and zombies, driving zombies, space zombies.
Speaking for myself, I just hate all those games with zombies, I never played any zombie game, and will not (in the near and far future).
what about you?
