Borderlands 2 Now with a New Price!!

Watch out for sales. I got the season pass for $12 from GMG I think. Combined with a dirt cheap base game from the Gamersgate pricing eror and (so far) almost 200 hours played and I believe it was value for money.

That's the whole psychological issue with games that have a ton of DLC. It makes people re-evaluate what a game is worth to them. If Borderlands 2 had no DLC, there wouldn't be as many fence sitters. But all the DLC makes the game appear more expensive (even if you don't have to buy it).

Making things worse psychologically is the knowledge that a GOTY/complete version, if released, will eventually hit the same marked down prices as the base version. For games with a lot of DLC, the complete version can end up selling for less than just buying the DLC alone. Few games adjust DLC prices as time passes. Even when DLC is put on sale, the base game and complete versions are put on the same sale.

And after you wait, there is just little incentive to buy in months later.

I guess the price drop is because the last DLC (and a GOTY edition?) is coming soon? They also release an update recently which "Added support and compatibility for upcoming add-on content.". So, worth to wait :)

30€? I bought it for 37€ at day one, so it didn't go down that much :| Anyway, I think it's well worth it, I played over 200 hours and had a ton of fun. And new DLC coming next week!
