I'm curious
I've done it a handful of times without being asked to, but only for games that I'm at least remotely interested in and that the giver could use the CV (i.e. not already level 10). I do try to avoid doing this, however.
Like many have said here, I don't mind helping out if the giver asks for extra entries just to hit the minimum, but once the minimum's reached, I'm quite worried that I might forget to leave. Don't want to bother support with unnecessary rerolls either since they already have insane workloads. Luckily, this (winning a game that I'm completely not interested in just to help out) hasn't happened to me yet... but I'm sure I'll figure something out if it does happen :P

I have the habit to check the GA and took the habit to join those with less than 5 entries and leaving them if it reaches 6+ entries and I'm not 100% interested in the game. The idea that someone will not get the benefit of their nice action always bother me.
How about you? Do you check the GA and join those which need one or two more for it to reach 5 entries?
