Skippable Rant:
In my 50 years of gaming, why is it that most "branded" entertainment franchise games based of some type of popular movie or non gaming franchise (mostly movies) fall VERY short of a quality product 90% of the time. You'd think that the networks/publishers of these brands would have learned by now from their mistakes and comparative (lost profits from quality) titles within the gaming industry.
Not only are most of these games just sub par, they are based on quality franchises from other sectors of the entertainment industry.
Is fleecing the unaware simply a "good enough" profit margin?
Please tell me there is more to this than the lowest dev studio's bid gets the development contract and publishers pushing to release an unfinished product.
Someone please explain the phenomena to this aging now quite "old man". ;)
It would be great to play a quality Jumanji game... and I had (brief) hope when I saw this title, but damn.
Things could be and always could have been so much better, and far more profitable.
Most of the games in this bundle are offensive not because of their theme, but because of their quality.
(70ish to 50ish reviewer ratings as a whole. Which translates to people paying to feel dissatisfied and likely not bothering with a refund)

alot of licensed works have very short deadlines to be made, especially the ones with some other franchise connection(eg an upcoming movie) as they want the movie and game to be released near the same time.
also big corporations really screw things up alot... look at what is going on with the One Punch Man anime in Season 3...
going from Season 1 being a masterpiece, season 2 being decent but far from season 1 standards... to season 3 being a rushed mess... Bandai Namco is part of the problem there(and JC staff another)... being rushed so much there are artifacts of editing making it to release.
