Design notes and solution:

It is difficult to come up with a set of 14 songs in which you have the first letters and last letters defined. I was fortunate in that I was able to find a good list of songs that satisfied both phrases. I used Google to find a webpage that listed dozens of pages of songs in alphabetical order. I searched that page for song titles that would work for each entry in the table.

I wanted recognizable songs in all cases, but that didn't work. "Ty Cobb" was a particularly troublesome one. I can't remember if there were other songs that I had on my list that I could've used (this was written weeks after I made the puzzle, and I made the puzzle years ago), but I know that I already had that song, so I favored it over any other choices that might have existed.

For almost every song, I wanted the lyrics in the clip to be words that could be popped into Google and give the solvers a pretty solid feeling that they had the right song title. That means that no common phrases could be alone in the clip. It had to be unique. This made "Ty Cobb" a tough one, because I think Chris Cornell recorded the vocals with the microphone inside his mouth. It's so hard to understand him through the whole song.

The presence of "Tequila", which Pee-wee is known for dancing to, was a happy coincidence.

I made sure to avoid song titles which had "The" at the beginning, because I wanted no ambiguity about what solver had to do when the song titles were listed. I also avoided parenthetical text for the same reason.
