Can you provide a screenshot of what your seeing? What exactly do you mean by "it pretends to be a McAfee scan"?

Yeah, I understand why that could freak you out and make you close the tab. Please post a screenshot when you get a moment.
Go to the notification settings in Edge and see if your "ask before sending" is on.

Do you have an antivirus program on your pc? If so which one?

What I've linked below is malwarebytes free version. Download this when you get a minute.
https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download
When you install it let it run a full scan on your pc to see if it detects anything. This could take a bit so just be patient and let it do what it needs to do.
There could also be something in your browser that may be causing that to occur so you may also need to clean your browser which can be done under the Edge settings. I'd wait on this though till you see what the malwarebytes scan pulls up.

No it's not happening for me. So this very well may be something on your pc or web browser that's causing this to happen.

Alright, I'm heading off SG for now. I'll bbl to check. If you like you can send me a friends request on Steam and I'll accept and you can message me when it's done.

That's great news. Okay so next clean up your browser to see if that might be the issue.
Go the the link below and turn on Browsing History, Download History, Cookies and Other Site Data, and Cached Images and Files.
edge://settings/clearBrowsingDataOnClose
You're going to want to clear all of those out. I need to make you aware that by doing this it's going to log you out of everything.
Then when you do that you'll want to reset your browser, I've linked that below.
edge://settings/reset
This is going to reset things in Edge like your startup page, turn off extensions etc.
Once you do that then check to see if that issue is still occurring.

The URL is a dead giveaway that it's not on SG. I'm thinking it's one of those ads the site has that bruteforces new tabs/windows automatically and they generate the connection to these fake sites (sometimes while misrepresenting themselves for legitimate products), usually for phishing purposes.
This is exactly why I'd use an ad blocker.

There is some kind of malware that pops up on the site. It pretends to be a McAfee scan. I have seen it 3 times, so far.
Edit: It is a recent thing. Twice last night and once today. I have run virus scan. The event was limited to the SG tabs (no other browser tabs). Using Edge browser, atm. This last time it happened, I had worked my way through several pages of All GA's trying to reach the ones with longer durations. Perhaps it was the repeated refreshing of the page that triggered a bad ad window, or maybe it is hanging out around one-week+ duration GA's?
