About Steam reviews, well, it depends on the game but more than once I changed my mind about buying a game or not just because the first 2-3 reviews on the page were negative. I think my wallet should thank me...

Well, I'm still kinda new to pc gaming so I refrain from purchasing/entering GA's for titles that the public would throw into trash (which means usually below ~60%).

yeah they do in most cases, since they're often a good indicator on how good a game is.

I don't really look too much into user reviews in steam. They can be manipulated and bought by game developers. Reviewers can be anyone in end. It's funny to see some unknown bad indie game to have over 3k positive reviews to counter balance the negative ones.
That said I still read some of the most helpful ones and negative ones to see if there are any bad sides.

I usually check the reviews on Steam but also some professional ones and gameplay videos. A lot of Steam reviews are not serious or just one sentence long.

If it's a game I want that's kinda pricey, I'll check reviews to try to see if I'll actually enjoy it.
But for most games, I care about price, not reviews.
