Anyone have any good little action, RPG, rogue-likes (or anything else) games to suggest? [far] Less than a gig would be best, unless I already have it installed.

Wow, so much dialogue. Skipping it all the game was sort of boring.

I just played the game. It was so deep man, thanks for this.

That was fun. The puzzles were painfully simple, but the story was fun and the music was good. Thanks for that.

Borderlands, Terraria, Magicka, Monkey Island (you have to play this one right now!), Bastion, Secret of the Magic Crystal.

Played, Played, Played, Shouldn't I play the first 4 first (I only have the fifth)?, Played, This is a joke right?
But excellent suggestions.

Bastion is almost exactly what you're looking for. It's a small action RPGlite, it's only about 6 hours long. The narration and storytelling are fantastic, and the gameplay is solid.

It is a great game, but I have already completed it off of steam.

I forgot that a lot of people played it on Xbox, lol. It seems like it's like that for a lot of early indies.

Terraria. So you can play it with me.

Maybe I should revisit it.

Is there any easy way to get into the multiplayer? I always wanted to try Minecraft/Terraria multiplayer but it just seemed like it would be a pain to get into.

Either you join some mainstream public server full of griefers and randomness, or you need to spend forever getting into some group of decent people.

And suggestions?

Underrail (great classic isometric RPG), Mark Of The Ninja, Guacamelee, Trine, Eldritch (roguelike)...
OMG so many great games you haven't played!

Underrail looks great but I try not to play too many unfinished games
Mark of the Ninja is far too big of a download
Trying Guacemelee
Already played
Eldritch just does not look fun in the screenshots.

I've actually played some Eldritch, it's pretty nice. I really like horror fiction though, so if you haven't read Lovecraft it might not be as good.

Avernum if you don't mind low-res graphics, Driftmoon, Fez, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream (warning: it's pretty disturbing), La-Mulana (warning: very hard!), or They Breathe.

I have tried La-Mulana two times now, no idea how you are supposed to progress.

Driftmoon is a good idea.

For La-Mulana, it helps to approach it like an old point&click adventure (or before that, the old Sierra adventures such as King's Quest): Explore everything and anything.
There's hidden texts everywhere, not just on tombstones and such,
Those texts then have cryptic hints, search the environments for stuff that could be related to them. Sometimes finding what you need is the puzzle, most of the time, the hints point to the start or the components of a bigger puzzle.

Even then, the game's pretty twisted in places, but if you're really stuck there's walkthroughs to be found on the internet ;)

Dungeon of Dredmor. Best rogue-like I've ever played (I know dwarf fortress is the best but I'm too lazy to learn how to play). It uses system "when you go 1 tile, every enemy go 1 tile". Don't know how it's being called but it's pretty nice I think.
