Of course. I don't have any problem with that. But if you're not a fan of adventure games and you say they "suck" it's plain ignorance. It's not your cup of tea, that doesn't mean that those games suck. Just that you don't want to play them or you don't like that kind of genre. I don't like sports games, would it be wise of me to say all of them suck just because I don't like them? Many people say some games suck just because it's not their cup of tea. And that, my friend, is ignorance.

This was exactly my first thought as well. Although I could imagine some people still getting it just to have the steam version with achievements and whatnot.

It's supporting Ukrainian Red Cross, and it says frogwares will match all donation contributions so that's a pretty nice cause

people who like these kind of games, will love it, its a great bundle for them. just try to be more emphatic for fuck sake. they could say the same thing when there was origin, thq and deep silver bundle. you have to look at who are those games for. its not for you, so why are you commenting it? why are you even here? you are not the target of this bundle. so please STFU. thank you

As some of you are saying this is a really great deal for someone wanting to pick up the Sherlock Holmes collection, like myself. Just bought the 9 dollar tier. Really into Victorian England and point n' click so this is right up my alley. Brilliant bundle.

To be honest, almost all of those games were bundled on groupees for less a while ago.

It was a build-a-bundle, so only if you bought a couple/few of them though. They were offered at $0.75 each in the Groupees bundle, so it ended up being $4.50 for 6 Sherlock Holmes games + the 7th was a bonus, so it was pretty comparable to the average of this right now.

well it was min 2 games for 1.50 (plus 3 bonus games) up to 7 games (with 3 bonus games) for 4.50 Just missing Magrunner and 2 of the drm-free games

You can't if you bought it as a gift. It' always been like that. My advice is to not be logged in to the site when you buy and it will not auto-claim purchases on your account -- that way you can either gift it to someone else or claim it for yourself later while still retaining the flexibility of being able to increase the payment.

Many (well, according to the comments, the majority) people don't know one thing: Steam summer sale is running actually. Yeah, that's crazy, right ?
Humble has probably got many difficulties to find a dev/publisher who wanted to run a bundle in this specific period... who would sell 4 games (7 games in this case, but whatever, it's the average number of games available in the $1 tier usually) for $1 when you can sell each of your game for $2-3 on Steam ?
It's not the best bundle, but they are offering a bundle in the worst period of the year for selling bundles, so we should not complain this time.

Where in this thread did you see people demanding AAA games? Sure, some people said it was a "meh" bundle, but they're likely just not fans of adventure games.
Just like if there was an EA Sports bundle full of AAA sports games, you'd get people saying the same "meh" because they don't care for the genre.
Also, saying "meh/not interested/not for me/etc" about a bundle doesn't mean you're "entitled". It just means you're not interested in the product being sold. Try not to take such minor things so seriously.

Er, you might want to re-read both posts. The guy I was replying to said he was blacklisting people for feeling entitles to cheap AAA games.
I said "Where in this thread did you see people demanding AAA games?" and you're saying "NO ONE in this thread asked for AAA games/learn to read"?
We're saying the same thing so I don't know why you're attacking me...

Adventures of Sherlock games were okay. Pretty casual, though. And that price is a wee bit steep. Picked up a box set of 6 of them for $10 several years ago. And so, I also got a box!
But then, I suppose $10 is also the price Steam sells a 6-pack of them for on sale, too.

I don't understand why Jack the Ripper is on the $9 tier and not Testament

Well, I got them in the Groupees bundle a while ago, and played some of them. Some of these have extra niceties not present in the original versions (puzzles are less obtuse, very nice in-game hints available, etc.). Some impressions (note: I tend to like point-and-click adventures, which are good to play with dear missus in the living room):
We are still to play the others (Jack the Ripper; Hound of the Baskervilles; Draculas; Magrunner). But I think I can state it is a very good bundle, despite some misfires. VERY GOOD VALUE for your money, if you are into point-and-click adventure games, of course.
Cheers!
