activating preorder key after release?

Hello!
I'd like to know if you get the preorder bonuses, when you activate the code shortly after release.

"Normally" yes - at least you get your pre-order bonus for tradeable pre-order Steam games, even if you activate them after the release.

I doubt that there is an all-round answer to this, and it may vary from game to game. Better check with Steam support or the game support directly.

Ok.. I guess there's a chance then.. I'm going to buy a new computer(probably next week) and I will get a Borderlands 2 steam download, but I think it'll come after the release and I don't want to pay 10€ for the dlc character..

Uhm, but You can pre-order BL2 now to secure your bonuses... no need to do this on your new PC.

Key for BL2 is in box with card, so you can activate it right away :)

If it's stated you get the bonus, then probably yes. I didn't get those TF2 items when activating a Quantum Conundrum key half a day before release on Steam

That's because Steam pre-order bonuses (like TF2 items) are for things you pre-order on Steam. If you buy it somewhere else and then activate it, it doesn't work, you only get whatever pre-order bonuses were sold to you with that key.
