Question regarding steam keys..

Hello everyone

I am sorry if this has already been answered.

If my account already has a game and I try to add it again using a new key, the steam activation wizard says that the product already exists on the account.

I bought this bundle and didn't pay attention that I already have one of the games and tried to use the key. Does the key become used then or it still can be used by other account? I would like to give the key to my friend if it can still be used.

Did the key activate? If yes, then yes, it's used and your friend will get duplicate code error. Steam doesn't care usually if you activate bundles in where you have one or more games in them.

Looking at your post it didn't activate though, so...

It just says that the Product already owned. Also the keys I got from the bundle were all separate for separate games.

Then go ahead and give the spare keys to your friend. This is only an issue when you activate a key containing multiple games.

If you bought this from Humble Bundle, then you can give the keys (if there're separate keys) you don't want to your friend... But, if it's a Steam Bundle like 'Portal Bundle' and you tried to use it just for one game, you won't be able to give the other one (even if you already owned it)...
