I'm wanting to upgrade my PC in somewhat weeks. I'm after a cheap graphics card, maainly a GTX 560 atm, or a GTX 660.
Although, NZ doesn't sell the 500 series anymore, and the price of the 660 is a bit too much for me.

Do you people know any places where I can find a 560 or a cheap 660?

Thanks.

EDIT: The places must be able to ship to NZ.

"they"? Who exactly are you talking about? If you mean the particular card is terrible, it definitely is not... Provided you play in 1080p, it should max out all games, possibly with the need to lower MSAA / AA.

Also, if price is a concern, try going for AMD cards instead. I have no idea about prices in Australia, however in the UK (on Amazon, particularly), the price of an HD 7850 is about the same as of 650 Ti, and they're not even meant to be competing, because in terms of performance the 7850 is a lot better. It's more of a competitor to 660, iirc.

A few of my friends, some peoples on the net. As for the AMD, I don't really like them, so that's why I'm going for a GTX.

The 650 Ti Boost is considered by most to be the best card in terms of value for money.

There's also a 650 ti boost in between the 650 and 660 if you can manage to pick up one of those. Try to get the 2GB version.

^^ THIS.

I have a 650 Ti Boost 2gb. Runs new releases in 1080 at High and will set you back $120-$150 depending on deals.

Fair enough, although I don't understand why you simply don't like a company. I'd understand if there are features that nvidia offer, that you're looking for, but again, you haven't mentioned anything.

It's comparable to the 560 but if you're lucky enough to find a 7850 on sale at a similar price you should really go get one.

Cheap high-performance graphics cards don't come from Nvidia, they come from AMD. Specifically, their old Radeon line they're leaving behind with the launch of the R7 and R9 product lines. Lots of used and perfect condition cards being sold by people 'upgrading' to cards that are fractionally superior.

Look at the AMD Radeon 7800 and 7900 product lines. The 7870 gives performance a fraction above the 660 for lower cost. The 7850 isn't much lower than the 660 in performance, but the cost savings is immense in that comparison. You'll get good overclock performance too, if you're up for it, allowing you to surpass the performance of a 7870 without much effort.
