I didn't see posts about these two Bundle Stars bundles, so I thought I'd mention them and get some comments.

Turbo Bundle, $2.99 for 7 Steam games; available for another ~18 days as of posting:

  • RACE: The WTCC Game + Caterham Expansion
  • GTR FIA GT Racing
  • GTR 2: FIA GT Racing Game
  • Race On
  • Race Injection
  • GTR Evolution (description says it includes the base game)
  • GT Legends

Wild Bundle, $2.99 for 7 Steam games, available for another ~20 days as of posting:

  • Edna & Harvey: Harvey's New Eyes
  • A New Beginning - Final Cut
  • Gateways
  • Alien Zombie Megadeath
  • Mutant Storm: Reloaded
  • Astro Tripper
  • Vitrum

I don't own any of the games in the Turbo Bundle, so this would certainly be a good deal. However, I'm kind of neutral on racing games -- they're OK, but not really a favorite. What do others think of these games and the overall bundle? Would you recommend it to someone like me who may not be a big racing game fan?

As for the Wild Bundle, I'm only missing two games, so this is not as good of a deal for me. I'm interested in Vitrum, but not that interested in Alien Zombie Megadeath. While $3 for just those two games is still a nice price, I'm not sure if I should go for it. I could just wait for a good sale on Vitrum by itself instead of buying a bunch of duplicates to get it now, and I'm not exactly in a rush to play it (I have a huge backlog of games to play from lots of past bundle purchases). What do others think in this case?

Thanks for your feedback!

The games in the Turbo Bundle, they're pretty hardcore simulators, so....

Thanks for the info. If they lean towards simulations, they may not be my style. I think that for racing games, I'd prefer something on the more casual/fun side than a realistic simulation.

The "Edna & Harvey" adventure games are awesome. Really funny stuff in there. Get that, and then also get the sequel (Edna & Harvey: The Breakout).

Turbo Bundle - I like the ones I have from it. They're definitely simulators, not at all arcade racers. Many of the games are from 2007 or before; I think the latest expansion pack in that bundle may be from 2009. I'd say they are really well done racing simulators for people who really like those, and don't mind somewhat dated graphics. All of this is just my own opinion. Maybe search YouTube for "Race 07" and see what you think?

Wild Bundle - I own nothing from it : (

Almost all repeats for me so I buy neither.

I'm eyeing one other bundle I like from Bundlestars though, but I forget the name lol I'll check soon.

The Sim Masters bundle just came out, which is a definite pass for me since I'm not into sims. But it looks like they have a bunch that are still running, so I'm not sure which other one you're interested in. I think they tend to run their bundles longer than other places (closer to 4 weeks than 2 weeks or less), so they often have a bunch available at once.

Not enough Linux games.

I have Windows so that's not an issue for me, but lack of Linux support is frequently the case with game bundles, isn't it?

It sure is. :(
But Valve is doing a pretty good job helping to get more games made available on the Penguin platform.
It's hard for me to turn down bundles with a few Linux games in them, I think only Gateways has a Linux port in those 2 bundles, and I already have it.
