Today I tried to dispute my 2 year old forums bans for spamming. across the boards. Exact messages can be found in attachments.

After a while I started discussing with eram and he told me:

No its all been done and finished.. This is the last post on the matter.
There is no need to contact Steam Support to dispute bans.
There is no need to keep disputing 2 year old bans.

Due to my idiotic move motivated by inmature reasons of reviving unpopular multiplayer mode of Dark Messiah, which is currently conquested by russian, nonsteam, exploiting players bundled with cheat-friendly version of the game; I got about 31 forums bans.

It was a result of copy+pasting pretty the same message on various game hubs on Steam. First couple bans were temporary and next ones were permanent. I'm aware it was pretty dumb after these years.

Until I came here some time ago I also reported Zombie Rush game review scam in form of funny instruction in Help & Tips on Steam Discussions and also got permanent ban due to "disruptive/post and infraction history" (2 year old history, so yeah pretty current -.- )

..what allegedly turned out to be a significant news as you can see here..

My question is.. do you have any old forums bans and if so, did you try to contact the mod who banned you via mod messages? What did they tell you? I'm looking forward for any help, because I feel lost. I'm not sure if I should abandon this account (103 games and 50lvl) and create a new one or something else, because I would love to regain access to game forums.

One is certain.. I cannot contact support regarding this issue because of:

Sorry for misinformation. These were only examples. I have 31 forum bans in total for spamming in 2014. I updated TL;DR.

You want help, but I doubt you'll be getting it. Repeat offenders are hard to deal with... and if you didn't realize what could happen after the first temporary bans (which you continued to repeat even after) it might be helpful to realize those bans are not being lifted today, tomorrow, or any day now..

I did it in one day and after couple of hours I saw that first few were temporary and the next permanent., so there was no break between posting like you meant - if you didn't realize what could happen after the first temporary bans (which you continued to repeat even after

As I said in my thread, I would like to regain access to game forums, where I got bans.

Freedom of speech is almost nonexistent. Very few places on the Internet are truly free.

Its free long as you agree with the ones in power. Disagree with em & see how fast they abuse it.

I just wanted to gather players who wanted to revive multiplayer mode, but it was one of the worst ways to do it. Still I guess I learnt from this mistake.

"Freedom of speech" is often completely misunderstood.

"Permanent Ban"

Do you not understand the word permanent?

Do you understand it was years ago and he's changed?

Yes, but if they allowed perma ban appeals, every spammer would be appealing constantly.

Let's assume you got the forum ban when you were clueless 10 year old and now you are 20 (more responsible for your actions) and can't post on the game forums due to stupid move in the past. Would you dispute or not?

Well, that's a really small subset of people. Most perma-bans are people that know exactly what the're doing.

I guess I don't understand why access to the Steam game forums is desirable.

I would say creating a new account is your best bet or keep this one and don't bother trying to get access back to the Forums of those 31 games.

Edit: By the way the mod from the Modern Warfare boards states that you don't need access because you don't own the game.
I guess you could buy those games and then try again but I wouldn't really recommend that.

I can understand you feel sad about being permanently banned from that many forums.
It sucks for you and might feel unfair and now you want to appeal it.

Unfortunately those bans are the consequences of your actions. The sheer amount of permanent bans you got is absurd and you really should have thought about your actions sooner. As harsh as it may be: This is the consequence and you'll have to live with it. Permanent consequences are permanent for your account.

People may change but that's what temporary bans are for. If permanent bans got lifted that easily then every spammer could get around it. I'm sure you can understand that logic, so save your time and don't waste it appealing. You must have more useful/fun things to do.

Why not just make a second account for forum use, and use both accounts for different things?
Or heck, make a new primary and use your current one as your alt.

There's no need to outright abandon your current account.

You got what you deserved. If you really want to revive old games make an alt account.
Also: What's to stop you from behaving like an idiot again if they give you access to the forums? Why should they take that risk? That would just open the floodgates for other banned people who would then have a precedent to refer to.
The mods probably have enough to do without having to go through people's previous histories.
