The Martian (2015)

Pretty great sci fi, and i learned you can fix a lot of stuff with duck tape, including space helmet. While not an overly large enjoyer of sci fi normally, this was really a movie i found interesting, i think that good movies of the genre does not necessarily include aliens.

Just finished with the Godfather trilogy, as I was preparing to play Mafia for next month.
Re-watching after a decade probably, first one is the classic.Second one was decent. The third one....what was happening in there.
I didn't realise it was so bad! Honestly wasn't so sad about the death at the end. Their acting was soo terrible. It irritated me every time that person was in a scene. Also wish we had Tom Hagen in the 3rd. He was one great character, they could have given him a complex trajectory. I read the actor had some money dispute becz which he didnt join part 3. They should have paid him more, dropped the whole silly Vatican angle.

I had rated Part 1 a 9/10, Part 2 a 10/10 and Part 3 a 8/10 on IMDB back when i first watched it. Would definitely not rate Part 2 and 3 the same, crazy how movies feel different after many years. This made me think of re-watching the old classics or stuff I rated high back then.

Also had the thought that IMDB is the OG BLAEO haha.

The Missing, western starring Cate Blanchett and Tommy Lee Jones. Rated 10/10, super good

lol I went to the same kind of event a few years back and experienced pretty much the same thing.
It was really cool to be in a room of people who all knew the movies by heart (and probably the commentaries as well) and it was a good thing I couldn't get anything to drink between Fellowship and the Two Towers since I was not able to even see the bathroom door before Return of the King started ;)

10/10 would totally do it again.

The Snowman (2017). Great thriller with Fassbender, Ferguson and Gainsborough plus some relatively unknown swedish actors. I rate it 10/10 currently, but, since it had around 5,2/10 on imdb i was kinda surprised. It was quite underrated in my opinion.

The Departed (2006)
Somehow I've postponed watching this for a few years now and having watched it now I see why it gets so much hype.
Yet another banger by Scorsese. The fact that it felt like less than 2 hours to me with a runtime of a bit over 2.5 hours goes to show how engrossing and thrilling this movie was. Definitely a 9.5-10/10.

The Crow (1994), very dark action/fantasy movie starring almost no actors i know from before. Absolutely brilliant movie, tho, from start to finish. Really touched me so heavily, and the acting and everything was just awesome. It is rated 7,5/10 on iMDB, which is (very) good i think. I give it a solid 10/10.

The Pope's Exorcist (2023). Really, really great for a horror. I felt the introduction were a bit weak but the movie just got better and better. In my opinion better than the classic from -73. Russel Crowe makes almost every movie he has been in (that i have seen). Rated 10/10 on IMDB (altho it has only 6,1 in average it is still decent for the genre).

Hercules (1997)
Another rewatch. Still amazing, the songs, the jokes the artstyle... 10/10. The little gags which were hidden from me till now... 🤯
Oh and btw When Hercules knocks over the pillars at the "beginning" of the movie... The pillars are falling in a different direction, than how they end up stopping on the top of the shop... 😅 Not a huge problem, but it was funny I never noticed this...

Rosemary's Baby (1968). Horror movie starring Mia Farrow. Pretty scary to say the least, actually it may have been the most uncomfortable movie i have ever seen. Terrifying. Rated 10/10 on IMDB.

Tunnel Rats 1968 (2009). War movie by Uwe Boll. Altho, as i understand, not one of hollywoods most renowned names. Still, i really loved this movie. Brutal, quite humouros at times. Kinda the b action movie that just happened to work so well! I gave it 10/10 on IMDB.
