Do you still go to the cinema?

View Results
[Tier 1] At least those two don't have that much DLC, so the dollar isn't even much of a bait and switch.
[BTA] At least Jurassic World doesn't require DLCs to get the achievements, so it ain't all bad.
[Tier 3] Can't complain about the price, just wish they were complete.
[Have] Don't only own the games, own the Season Passes and stuff too.
[Skip] Blocky Movie Stuff ain't my kind of genre, sorry.
[Ticketeer] I really missed the cinema in pandemic times, I'm happy to go whenever I can.
[Coronato] I haven't been in >2 years.
[Privateer] I don't believe in paying for the consumption of individual movies anyway.

own everything and already purchased tier 1 3 times

Right?? What's the deal with the Indiana Jones game? I know there's confusion with the two games but why is it never in any Lego bundles anywhere?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Maybe it's a licensing thing? Both Indiana Jones and Star Wars franchises (the LEGO games) aren't in regular bundles :/

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That's what I'm thinking too but wouldn't that also prevent them from being sold at all?
SW is under Disney license now so I guess it goes same as the Marvel and Pixar games.
and so is Indiana Jones. But maybe because they were Lucas licenses they have been negotiated separately I dunno.
Shame though.

Same here, but is in the tier 3 is a no no for only one game.

If you're only missing this one, you can easily get it on sale for way less than those pointless Humble bundles.
I got it for 3 bucks at AllYouPlay at least a year ago

Same here, at least for Steam. I played through it on Switch. It isn't as good as the previous Lego Movie game, unfortunately. I remember the DLC being free at least.

Own all of these but this is a pretty awesome price for what you are getting if you don't.

This bundle is tempting. I own 3 of them (the ones in tier 2). But, I already bought stuff in the Steam sale. lol.

EDIT: correction, I also own two out of Tier 3. So only 4 I don't have.

I would be more tempted if the dlc was available for a reasonable price too.

Pretty good tier 1 i would say, will consider buying. Unfortunately too many lego games are carbon copies of each other (but i still enjoy a lot of them).

IGN loves Lego Games bundles because they want to sell you the tons of DLC
They're not going to include those.

I own Tier 2-3, except LEGO Movie 2, The Incredibles and DC Super-Villains, so I think I'll skip this Bundle. But I recommend Tier 1 for persons who never tried a LEGO game before.

I love Lego games... but again IGN too little too late too expensive.
If they were spreading those in multi genre bundles maybe... but as is, I'm not going to buy the same games over and over just to get a new one every year.
Just like the upcoming Jackbox bundle.

I wish they would put as much effort in the bundles as Lilly does keeping us informed and entertained with her threads ;)

I haven't played many, and I'm heavily biased because of the books, but...
Harry Potter and LotT games are really solid - they use excellent source materials, and they are "older" LEGO games. Characters don't speak English in them, just a cartoonish, but expressive language.

Sorry, forgot to answer. It follows the story, but the details are... loose and usually comedic. Not killing a character in the main story, but beheading the Lego figure, then the body stumbles around trying to find the head, stuff like that. I think Legolas was repeatedly shooting bananas instead of arrows, but I may have mistaken.

It's fun, but lego games are a "Lego spin" on other IPs, while using their storylines. Also, as implied by the banana arrows, mostly children's /family friendly games. It's likely a funny homage without turning it into a comedy.

I'm going to be honest with you, the only Marvel's movie I ever watched was Thor Ragnarok and I didn't even watch that one for the plot so like... I have no idea about the movies lol sorry

I've watched some of the Marvel's movies, the first Avengers for sure. I wanted to watch the rest, although it's not something I'm a die hard fan of, but can say I enjoy a little bit of fantasy action.

Main reason why I did play the Lego game when I hadn't seen the movie(s) for me was the Lego humour anyway, and not the film-game accuracy. I still enjoyed the game a lot, so you really don't have to have seen it to enjoy the game :)

Meh. LEGO MARVEL Super Heroes 2 and LEGO DC Super-Villains are not the Deluxe Edition (they were on the Humble LEGO Built To Bundle, Tier 2 and 3 respectively).

There were much less games in that bundle. Besides the season pass for both was under $3 last year if you want Deluxe

Two fower, that isn't really "much"

Besides the season pass for both was under $3 last year if you want Deluxe

Why do you shrug away the fact that Warner Bros cut $6 worth of content compared to the previous bundle? ($6 if you wait for a sale, mind you.)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Hmm, They had 2 deluxe editions, and 2 less games. Probably equal value in that case if you count those kinda sale prices. =)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

That's absolutely true, it just rubs me a bad way that they apparently can and are willing to give out full versions, then downsize that.
On the gameplay side, 2 games surely have a lot more value than 2 season passes.

Thanks for your comment! I think you're right and I've decided to buy the bundle. I'll buy the season pass/DLCs when they're on sale, or if they are bundled in a near future. If that happens, I hope they will be as individual Steam keys and not one single key for everything, which always leads to wasting the base game :/

Hey some of those games actually work on macOS. I know Incredibles, Lego Movie 2, DC Villains, Avengers, and the Marvel Super Heroes 2 all work on macOS. You might want to update.

But thanks for alerting me to this!
