The eggheads at Google are now blocking all Chrome extensions that aren't in their App Store. They say it's to protect us from malware (which is a valid threat), but this means the SteamGifts extensions won't work any more.

Not unless someone gets one of them validated and put in Google's app catalog.

Use Tampermonkey and put the code in there.

Try this, I put it up a while back when I had the same problem in the Chrome Beta.

I got some really nasty malware embedded in my browsers before, I almost had to wipe my laptop. Malware can become managed in Chrome and you can't do anything to remove it from the browser. If the validation process is cheap and easy to do then I think this will be for the best.

Should be using tampermonkey anyways, lets you see the code and understand what that app does (you might need some coding experience though).
