A leisure speed run of Deus Ex is about 6 hours :)

Well, it's only 12,50$ on amazon. I'm also thinking about getting it...
EDIT: Oh, and if you want some first impressions: WTF is Darkness II ?!

Game is short, but worth it if you order it off Amazon before the 15th. I got all the achievements on the xbox 360 version of it and it didn't get dull for me.

Most of any shooters nowadays is short. Just buy it if its on sale.

It's on sale for $12.50 on amazon until the 15th.

Decent game, wait for a sale. The Single Player part is kinda short and linear, the co-op mode isn't really that good besides the voice acting.
If it goes below 20€ I'd say it's worth it.

Since when one is prevented from posting an opinion on something that he doesn't own? Wanted to buy, went to Youtube for a gameplay, was like shit. Guy starts to walk and kills, kills and kills. Nothing more. Wasted 5 minutes, won't even waste 1 buck on this piece of shit.
It lacks creativity to answer your question. And to say this I don't have to own this.
And please also read the reply from DereckShiller, right under this message.

Nope. Nope, nope, nope. As someone once wrote somewhere, The Darkness II is only a human slaughtering simulator. And it even fails at that.
I don't know what you're looking for in a game, so let me break it down into several pieces:
Graphics: they suck. The devs decided to use cel-shading to give that Comic Book vibe, but they tried to mix it with the Unreal Engine 3. Most of the time you won't see the cel-shading, and sometimes you'll get some freaky shadowing effects which turn that sympathetic dude in an abomination... in ghouls' standards.
Longevity: eight hours. That's good, because any more would have been considered torture. However it is not nearly enough and you can see the last ten minutes of the story have been rushed.
Everything that you've worked for - and stuff you haven't worked for - happens in those ten minutes.
Story: Here we go. If you haven't played the first, you won't understand anything. Basically the plot revolves Jackie not forgetting his girlfriend who died two (2) years ago.
It's okay to keep a picture or something, but this guy hallucinates she's here and he turns into some sort of psycho-stalker. You're then told to like the characters or it's knife in throat for you, because they're not properly introduced
(fun example: the tutorial asks you to look at "that cashier with the busty rack" and your guy, a well-groomed, suited mafia boss who can't forget his girlfriend, just does what he's told. Also, a guy is named Vinnie. Of course!).
Combat: you've got two snakes coming out of... somewhere on your body, and you can use them to dissect your foes. That's entertaining for about ten minutes.
Most of the time you'll use the few weapons you have at your disposal, which, conveniently enough, only take a misclick to change. You've got a shotgun for a second, and while trying to eat your enemy's heart (it restores health!) you pick up the pistol.
The two snakes are only a poor substitute for a melee weapon (if you want melee, grab Zeno Clash) and the few upgrades you can activate are not enough to make up for that. Some will tell you the snakes perform gore fatalities, but they don't. Gore is Mortal Kombat or Manhunt, somehow. The Darkness II is more of the "here's a snake doing stuff snakes don't normally do".
Replayability: none. The first time you play the game, you know the whole story, you'll have tried everything, you'll have every upgrade, and every relic (they're "hidden" items that you can look for in your linear levels. They're not really hidden though, since there's an upgrade that spawns a huge arrow when you're near one).
Co-op: if you've made it this far, sure, why not. Or you could grab Minecraft, Terraria, Jamestown and Wanderlust:Rebirth.
Either wait for a sale, or, you know, Ctrl+c, Ctrl+v.

Somehow that sounds like it's just not your type of game? :P
I heard from most others who have played it, that especially the "slaughtering" doesn't gets old in that game^^
Sounds like you really hate it ^.^ Ah well, most other (user)reviews are pretty good.

I'm really picky with my video games :P
Plus I've been taught (but mostly it was me deducing stuff) on how to spot problems. Whereas most players will go for the general feel, or how well they liked the experience, I like to make sure everything is set right and I can't forgive mistakes (I will forget small mistakes, but the Darkness II just has too many).

This game MAY have some technical and graphical issues, but I loved it because of the style of the game. If you're undecided, play the demo.

The user-reviews on metacritic are also mostly positive, most peoples seem to like it. I'm also still thinking, but I guess I'll get it later.
