I speed read a thread about this. Some people claimed that switching from WiFi to wired stopped it and another person said that they turned down their connection speed in the Steam settings because it was writing too quickly and Steam was throttling it. I don't know exactly what is causing it, but those seemed like popular answers.

Could be disk space because updates sometimes require a full upgrade of the original game files, so it depends on the particular game the update is for and the amount of space available. 10GB isn't much. Some games require over 50GB which means double the amount when an update of less than 200MB comes in.

Yes, this happens sometimes. And then I need to manually update them, but it doesn't annoy me that much.

It used to happend a lot to me too. I don't remember how did I solved but I remember that it didn't solve suddenly I mean like itself. I did something and it stopped I'd add here if I remember but it might be something about "Desktop optionals" you know there's something like "choose the programs that you want to be open when you start the windows" I don't exactly remember as I said but you can check those settings if you know where there are :p

Is anyone else having this issue? Most of my games update automatically (as they're configured to) but every once in a while one of them shows as update needed and queued, but it doesn't start until I force it. That's irritating because it invariably happens when I think "Oh hey, haven't played x in a while" and then I can't.
I have my downloads set to the right region, and to allow during gameplay (even though this also happens when I'm not in a game).
