The Day of the Devs Bundle is on Steam as a bundle, and it makes for some pretty great savings.

i.e. I had everything but Day of the Tentacle and it charged me $1.05 for that.

YMMV due to the games you already own.

Good tip: If you don't have any or only a couple of these games, get the $1 tier on HB first, add them all and get lower prices on the remaining.

Incredible, thank you!
I own the entire bundle now, I was missing Massive Chalice and Day of the Tentacle before, but decided to buy the bundle on HB because of its low BTA. Now I got DotT for just 1,05€ instead of its full Humble Bundle price!

If they did this promo on Russian store, they would probably have to pay money to the users because of the discount level :D

I'm all up for this! Oh, Gaben. Just why 95% discount on a game is fine, but 95% discount on a bundle is a big NO?

I just activated my keys from the HB in the hopes to get Day of the Tentacle, but it is not showing I own the games in the bundle. I restarted Steam, but it did nothing. Is there a refresh time?

Curses! Now I am forced to take a game off my wishlist! I now have Day of the Tentacle Remastered! (and the rest of the games I was missing)... sigh... why do I do this to myself. I have so little time to play any more as it is.

If you dont have 2 hours in it, just refund it. It will get removed from your library within a few hours, then re-buy.

So, if i've done the math right, the best combination is buying the BTA on Humble and then DOTT on Steam.
This way getting all the games should be even cheaper than 1$ tier + rest of the bundle on Steam, right?
And you get DRM free (except DOTT) and soundtracks too.

Yes, that's the best if you want (and miss) all

Alas, you can't opt to not give Double Fine money when you buy it from Steam. :^(

They get a cut regardless. Steam is basically a consignment shop.

Ah but with Humble Bundle you can choose where your money goes on a per title basis, no?

Wow, thank you! I was only missing two games, and I really wanted Tentacle, so paying $2.45 (without tax) was sure worth it! (Massive Chalice was the other one, and that looks interesting enough to try~)

It has nothing to do with Steam undercutting anyone. Its Double Fine undercutting themselves/Humble. Publishers control prices on Steam, not Valve. There's nothing to watch in that respect.

This is likely a mistake on their part with the bundle. There's two types of bundles on Steam. Typically there will be ones that are like this where you can buy the games in a bundle that you dont already own at a graduated percentage off rate. Then there's a second type where its all or nothing. If you own none of these games the total is $9.10 w/ the 93% off which is roughly the same as Humble's top tier for this bundle ($9).

Likely what happened is they messed up a setting and the bundle is able to be purchased a la carte instead of all or nothing and it probably launched too soon.

Or it could be that in their delusion, the Humble deal is it's own separate value because of the soundtracks, DRM-free copies, and the Day of the Devs VIP ticket. In other words, they're not undercutting themselves, they're tapping into a market that maybe wouldn't have gone for the Humble bundle.
