Some people think comment count (or comment/giveaway entry ratio) is very important and makes people better members of the community (see the ratio requirememnt for some groups). While I'm not obviously judging the user in question, this is why giving so much importance to post count is beyond silly.

Why is everyone acting like there's some huge, grand mystery revolving the plane and its huge significance?
I'm sure it's just that this summer theme is going to be something like world travel like how last year it was camp and the year before it was a carnival. Maybe each of the mystery cards will represent a different world location?

You misunderstood, I really don't care how you spend your money - it's yours. I'm just curious as to WHY would you choose to spend your money on some cards that might - or might not - be worth something? I get it when someone spends few cents here and there and buys a whole set just for the fun of it, but buying whole set (or what you think might be whole set) for 5€ is just plainly boggling my mind as to why would you choose to do it.
P.S. Simple fact that you have a job (I don't ) clarifies much of it. I guess if I had a job and earned some money, I'd gamble on 5€ as you did. Cheerios :)
