Hey All
I just activated a key on steam, and on the Activation successful screen it had GFWL Redemption after the games name, what does this mean? I understand that GFWL is Games for Windows Live, but that's about the extent of my knowledge.

hi, some games like FUEL require you to download the GFWL program and have a microsoft/windows live/xbox account to login with (even if you are on steam)

Fortunately there seems to be finally a way to disable GFWL for most of games: https://steamcommunity.com/app/99810/discussions/0/620703493328085898/ but some quirks might occure. I didn't test it myself.
