You know, now that it's presented to me as an option I can't help to wonder why the heck I didn't think of that myself. Thanks! lol

I use an excel spreadsheet with a tab for each bundle company, then bundle name for rows and keys/game names in the columns. I color them red for used, but I think most people just delete the key.

Thanks for the information. I'm doing the whole SMH thing at myself right now. Haha. I appreciate it!

Google Docs is pretty good. You can even create a nice form and add tags and stuff... And it's saved online, so you don't have to search your computer for "That text file that I named New Text File".

You'd laugh at the amount of random notepad files I have that concern Steamgifts. Haha

My biggest problem is the screenshots... I take screenshots of almost everything "for later"... And basically, the files' titles have little to nothing relevant to the screenshot itself...
Here is an example of my pictures folder upon searching "chat"...

Heh, yep. I save mostly anything and everything, but usually for future references like for example, if I need to show what happened to someone. And the trade chats are to send to support if required.

i've just been using notepad and deleting keys as they're used

I just use a text file myself.
Keys I use I delete.
Keys I give away (giveaways, forum drops, etc), I move to the bottom with a note saying who it was sent to or where it was dropped.

Thanks for the idea for putting the group name on there too. Great idea! Oraganization was always my weak point. Haha

had to add bundle site and group name since I've bought so many bundles.
I always double check my keys before e-mailing winners and I don't want to spend half an hour looking for the right bundle ;)

Well for steam keys I use a spread sheet. Keep track of the game name, the steam store link with the app id for easy card farming, if its a key link or gift, if it drops cards, the key or name of the bundle the link is from. I then highlight them for active giveaways, ended giveaways I'm waiting to be marked, then easily delete the row once received by winner.
For my desura keys I keep a much more simple format, and I use notepad. I just delete them when I give it to someone, or key drop. Here is an example of what they look like.

don't be
It's clearly a fake "oh crap" ;)
Why ask for a mod when there's an edit function :D But well played sir ;)
edit: and also an "delete" function I noticed after posting this post ^^
edit2: as for me..I don't need to store keys...I get rid of them right away when I don't need them for myself.

I laughed so hard at this. Thanks for the suggestions!

Cause Hoarder. Kidding, mostly because when I give a key away I usually do it via email so if I delete it immediately and there was an issue, that could be problematic. So, I like to keep the keys around for a while for the kicks and giggles.

Excel is the best option. Several tabs or columns with desura, origin. steam and other keys. You could delete, sort or do anythink you need.

Upon sending out:
The Greatest Game Ever - TH15I-5NTR3-EALY0 --------------------------------------------------------------> Fyantastic (all the dashes and the winner's name way out here helps me notice easier)
When marked as received I delete the entry.

Is there any software or "trick" out there to organizing Steam keys that you might be aware of? I'm finding myself getting more and more cluttered with keys and I can see myself falling into a situation where I would accidentally send someone an expired key and no one wants that. Haha.
So, thoughts? Suggestions? I'm using Notepad now.
Also, for your time.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the awesome advice! Made an google docs spreadsheet and it's looking immensely better. You people are the best forum users ever. :D
