A question for idlers

Since the new feature in Steam to delete your games from your library came out, had anyone tried deleting a game then adding it back to their library. If so do you get card drops again?

You can buy and remove a game as often as you wish, but your playtime won't be reset, so you won't get any more cards (exept a booster when you're lucky). This has been stated here several times before.

But hold your breathe, Valve is planning one more tier for card badges apart from existing 2 tier. So more card sets for same game may come soon. For more boosters just add more and more card games to account till you die just farming cards off a massive amount of garbage games and not playing any.

Yes besides regular 500xp and foil. I read about this somewhere sometime back. Don't remember where.

Maybe tied to ingame progression. Apparently people have been asking for that eversince Steam Trading Cards were released since they even thought it necessary to clarify in the FAQ that cards are NOT tied to ingame progression. Not sure yet if I would like that though.

That would be impossible and sad. So many rubbish Greenlight garbage these days. Who would play those to get progressive cards?

They probably abandoned that idea (hopefully) considering the Trading Cards FAQ hasn't changed since they were introduces 5 - 6 years ago.

I'm doubting this is still planned. If such news should appear somewhere it would be the Steam Trading Cards group from Valve. And the last entry there is from 2014. As far as I know it was planned at the beginning but they never bothered with it again. As for "facts" you can take this entry from the L4D2 news secttion. They are talking briefly about a Series 1 implying that a Series 2 will exists. But like I said they never returned to that.
There is the small possibility that they have a pre-set date where they will return to this like Series 2 can only appear 3 years after Series 1 but I'm still doubting it.
